The Company of Wolves (1984)

In a lush forest of fairytale trees, where the air is moist with magic, and dreams murmur a soothing buzz in the constant dusk, there be monsters.

Magnificent monsters.

Contrary to what the poster might have you believe, this is not a horror movie. It's a children's movie for adults, mixing together more or less well known stories from the brothers Grimm.

The star of the movie however, is neither its characters nor stories, but the universe in which they are allowed to relish. The beautiful forest is created with such care and attention to detail, they look like moonstruck paintings.
