The Dark Half (1993)

How do you come up with an idea? Can you be sure it is your own brain cells crunching away? Well, what if it's not? Then where do your ideas come from? Can they come from someone else? How can you know if your thoughts are your own?

Do you hear voices?

Stephen King does. Voices told him to write the novel of which this film is based upon.

So what did he write about? Well, the voices telling him to write the book about the voices, of course.

Later, the voices in George A. Romero's head told him to make a film about the voices that told Stephen King to write a novel about the voices in his head.

Try reading that several times. Read it out loud, if you must.

Then tell me you don't hear voices.
