Blue in the Face (1995)

The people who made Smoke enjoyed working with each other so much, that they scraped the bottom of the barrel, and made a sort of small sequel.

And what do you know, Blue in the Face is a much better movie! You don't even need to bother with the original. Smoke is not half the movie of its successor.

Blue in the Face is simply a bunch of guys having a good time together. They smoke and they drink cups of coffee, and just when you start thinking about Coffee and Cigarettes, Jim Jarmusch himself comes walking through the door, in a rather rare instance of him being in front of the camera, and not behind it.

Harvey Keitel cannot help being anything buy cool on screen, even if he tries, and just to hear him banter and bullshit with the rest of the star speckled cast (there's almost too many to name them all) is enough to make it worth a viewing.
