Dead Man's Shoes (2004)

We've all seen hundreds of slashers, where some evil killer hunts down and murder innocent people in the most brutal ways. Well, what if this was turned upside down, and the crazed killer was the goodguy, and all his victims really deserved all they got?

As a perfect example of low budget greatness, Dead Man's Shoes manages to be both ferocious and compelling, with a grittiness seldom seen anymore. Even though it's played out like a drama, it's actually more of a reversed serial killer flick, where the suspense comes not from hoping that the victims will get away, but rather from wishing they won't.

Add to that a fantastic ending, and you've got a gem that is sure to stay with you for a long while.
