The Green Butchers (2003)

There's no denying cannibalism is great fun!

Films like Braindead, The Cook and his Posse, Eating Raoul and Delicatessen are cherished gems that have entertained countless film fanatics for years and years.

The Danes eventually caught up with this trend and thought they'd give it a spin themselves.

With Danish films being of such high standard, it was no surprise that they produced on of the funniest cannibal films to date.

Mads Mikkelsen (from the second Pusher film) is marvelous as the super nervous weirdo, who likes to deconstruct his problems into tiny pieces before devouring them, and Nikolaj Lie Kaas (from In China They Eat Dogs) just manages to keep the film somewhat grounded in reality, with his somber stare.

All in all a great film to watch in the holiday period, as you're stuffing yourself with holiday meat.
