Vincent (1982)

Today Tim Burton is one of the biggest names in Hollywood. The man does mega-multi-billion-trillion-dollar-budget pictures for the biggest studios, and his movies are seen by three times more people than there are in the world.

But it wasn't always like this.

It used to be he worked as an animator for Disney, and would sneak around the studios at night, conjuring up little projects of his own.

Vincent is one of these early projects, and it gleams with ingenuity.

Made as a tribute to the great Vincent Price (who had been in more than 150 movies since the 30s) Price himself felt so honored when he heard about the project, he agreed to do voice acting in it, which is quite impressive when you take into account that Burton basically was a big nobody at the time.

It's only six minutes long, but there's not one boring second.
