It kinda gets a bad rap for being rather campy, and it might not have aged that well, but that is exactly what makes it a nostalgic time capsule of the 80s. Because even though this came out in 1990, it still has that unpolished look and feel of the previous decade.
It was never really scary in the least, but watching it today with a bunch of friends and loads fo beer, will make it more into a highly enjoyable comedy. I mean, how can anyone expect you to take serious a film that tries to make balloon scary?
